Carnival Cruise Lines Review
When it comes to European cruises few names are as synonymous with quality as Carnival Cruise Lines. They have a well-earned reputation for providing great service, world class entertainment and amenities, and, above all, value.
One thing you can count on when booking your all inclusive cruise vacation package with Carnival is that you don’t have to worry about any hidden fees. Other companies will offer what appears to be a great price, but then will nickel and dime you to death with little extras during your voyage. Ultimately all these little extra charges will add up to more than you budgeted for. With Carnival you don’t have to worry about this. The price you are quoted is what you pay, and everyone aboard gets the same royal treatment.
Carnival’s cruise ships are world class, offering all the amenities, fine dining, and world class entertainment you would expect from such a well respected travel company. Carnival Splendor is the most massive cruise ship the company has in their fleet, weighing in at an eye-popping 113,300 gross tons. In service for less than a year Carnival Splendor can host more than 3,000 passengers and features a 21,000 square foot spa facility, a 5,500 square foot children’s playroom, and a spectacular water play area. If that isn’t enough Splendor also features a sports deck with arena style seating where passengers can compete in and watch games.
Despite its relatively young age Carnival Splendor has already seen plenty, with its European voyages alone taking it to England, Amsterdam, Italy, Denmark, Finland and more. It is just one of 22 ships currently active in the Carnival fleet, and the forthcoming Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic, due in late 2009 and 2011 respectively will dwarf even the massive Splendor. As you can see there are plenty of ship options to choose from, and luxury and amenities abound.
Like most European cruise lines Carnival offers a wide range of options, and dozens of ports of call to explore. This can be the hardest part of planning your cruise vacation as you try to decide between such magnificent venues as Naples, Rome, Venice, Croatia, Turkey, Greece and many, many more. However, you can rest assured that you won’t be disappointed in whatever decision you make. Every one of these venues offers its own unique charm to go along with hundreds, or even thousands of years of history and culture to experience.
If you want to add a little spice to your cruise vacation package you can look into planning additional shore excursions at the various ports of call you will visit. These can be purchased through the cruise line, and is not all-inclusive, or through a separate agency that will arrange to meet your ship and guide you on your excursion upon your arrival. Often there is a premium price tag if you book through your cruise line, but by taking that route you give yourself peace of mind that if anything goes wrong your ship isn’t going to depart without you.
We’ve come up with little in the way of negatives in this Carnival cruise lines review, and that is simply because this company delivers luxury, fun, adventure and romance all at the price they promise from the get-go. There are a number of great companies offering European cruise packages, but you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than Carnival Cruises.
