Disney Dream Cruise Reviews

The third and newest ship in Disney’s fleet of cruise ships the Disney Dream is a behemoth of a boat. It features 14 decks, is over 1,100 feet in length and its 1,250 staterooms are more than capable of accommodating 4,000 passengers. With more than 1,400 crew members there is never far to go to find someone to serve your needs.

Similar in styling to the previous two Disney vessels – the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder – the Dream is pure elegance with its early 20th century look. The decor juxtaposes nicely with the state of the art technology found aboard the ship. Of course, considering the company behind the Dream – Disney – this vessel is all about family entertainment, and there are a myriad of fun activities for young and old alike, most notably the exhilarating AquaDuck, described as a water coaster at sea.

Dining

As with every cruise the first question on everyone’s mind is where to eat. The Disney Dream features numerous choices ranging from tasty casual fare to elegant adult formal dining. Restaurant options include Cabanas, Animators Palate, Enchanted Garden, Royal Palace, Remy and Palo.

Entertainment

What entertainment options exist on the Disney Dream? The Buena Vista Theatre is perhaps the highlight – With plush stadium seats, Dolby surround sound and featuring first run and digital 3-D movies it is a great venue for either the whole family, or for the kids while the adults steal away for some alone time.

Other entertainment options include the always popular Character Greetings – you’re kids will be delighted to meet Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney crew. The Dream also features the live musical, The Golden Mickeys as well as a comedic revue style show titled Villains Tonight!

Pools aboard the Disney Dream

More casual entertainment can be found at the pools. Mickey’s Pool, Donald’s Pool, Quiet Cove Pool, Nemo’s Reef (a water play area) and the aforementioned AquaDuck will all serve to keep you cool, relaxed and entertained throughout your voyage.
